We are seeking a

Research Program Coordinator

to coordinate several cardiology related clinical studies. The position will coordinate the implementation of research protocols as well as ongoing administrative processes related to these studies. The coordinator will screen and enroll patients, provide continued monitoring of studies, ensure all protocols are followed and that reporting, billing, and other regulatory components are performed correctly.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide support and coordination for fellows and physicians during ongoing clinical studies. This includes protocol implementation, participant consent and enrollment, study completion and post study closure.Write and submit protocols, consent forms, amendments and continuing reviews to the Institutional Review Board.Recruit research subjects, including screening phone calls or visits.Coordinate participation of subjects, including providing stipend, parking, and public transportation compensation for their participation.Perform noninvasive tests, including measuring blood pressure and operating the investigative diagnostic device.Maintain proper clinical research study documentation.Contact subjects’ health care providers as needed.Participate in conference calls and meetings with the investigators for discussions about the projects. Discussions will include feedback regarding the testing.Assist in data collection including patient contact for enrollment and follow-up.Prepare and submit annual continuing review reports.Oversee record management for several research studies.Set up database, as well as processing systems and efficiencies for reporting purposes using Excel, Access, or similar systems.Conduct all study close out related procedures including IRB termination reports.Special Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks, detail oriented, self-motivated.Ability to be flexible in work conditions, hours and work well in team setting.Proficiency in word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.Ability to use a laptop and personal computer.Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.Use effective interviewing techniques.Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in related discipline.Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.Classified Title: Research Program CoordinatorRole/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/03/CDStarting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY ($48,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)Employee group: Full TimeSchedule: M-FExempt Status: Non-ExemptLocation: School of Medicine CampusDepartment name: SOM DOM CardiologyPersonnel area: School of MedicineTotal RewardsThe referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University’s salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications.
