The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a full-time

Research Assistant

for the Cardiology division. The successful candidate will work with animals and be responsible for assisting the Sr. Research Specialist and the principal investigator's research activities.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesOrder and receive supplies.Assist with cell culture work and preparation of solutions.Perform data collection for study(studies) and develop data reports to share with PI.Deliver mice, collect mice tissues, tissue banking and providing them to collaborating investigators.May interview and hire undergraduate assistants to work in the lab and lead basic activities such as data collection and data entry.Duties may include data cleaning measures.Additional duties as assigned.Additional Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesTissue culture.Record Keeping.Computer data storage.Data plotting.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in related discipline.Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.Classified Title: Research AssistantRole/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/03/CDStarting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY ($45,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)Employee group: Full TimeSchedule: M-F 9AM-5PMExempt Status: Non-ExemptLocation: School of Medicine CampusDepartment name: SOM Ped CardiologyPersonnel area: School of MedicineTotal RewardsThe referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University’s salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis.
