Target hiring range for this position will be between $32.84-$41.05 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.Job Summary:Conducts complex experimental research in a research lab, functioning as a specialist or technical expert. May manage one or more phase(s) of a major project(s) or all activities of a small project. May ensure overall lab compliance with all associated rules and regulations.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Lab Technician specializing in mouse microsurgery to join our research team. This position will be responsible for performing intricate surgical procedures on laboratory mice to support our research project in the immunology of transplantation field. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mouse handling, anesthesia administration, and surgical techniques, such as lung transplant and spleen transplant. The training for these procedures can be provided but prior experience with these techniques is highly desirable.The successful candidate should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and also conduct moderately complex experiments under the supervision of a junior scientist. Our lab is a collaborative group with investigators from Thoracic Surgery, Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, Rheumatology, and Immunology. Oversee the entire project management plan and all dependencies; coordinate changes resulting in consequences to all timelines and deliverables. Meet microsurgery deadlines and produce meaningful, accurate reports on the outcomes of the laboratory work.COMMUNICATION & COORDINATION:

Coordinate communication between the Laboratory PI and contributing faculty/staff.COMPLIANCE:

Oversee and ensure compliance requirements are met, including IRB, data use agreements, incident reports, and informatics systems compliance requirements.REPORTING AND DELIVERABLES:

Oversee applicable reporting and deliverables; coordinate with all relevant teams to ensure deliverables related to their area of expertise are prepared and provided.DATA COLLECTION:

Collaborate with the PI and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely data collection and reporting. Follow prescribed protocols for data collection; ensure other study/project participants meet data collection needs.INFORMATICS AND DATA MANAGEMENT:

Oversee the transition of study data to information management systems; collaborate to ensure data quality and control; ensure all required data are submitted according to guidelines and specifications.Specific Responsibilities:Acting as a technical expert or specialist in a particular field within a research lab, establishes and optimizes protocols and coordinates the conduct of multiple complex experiments.
