Radiation Cellular Oncology research lab in Knapp Center for Biomedical Discovery is a pre-clinical lab where fast-paced and collaborative research is conducted. The work focuses on interactions of cancer and host immunity and their impact on radiation efficacy. This at-will position is wholly or partially funded by contractual grant funding which is renewed under provisions set by the grantor of the contract. Employment will be contingent upon the continued receipt of these grant funds and satisfactory job performance.Job Summary

The job provides basic technical support activities related to scientific research projects. Complies with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates. Assists in drafting presentations on research findings.ResponsibilitiesAssisting with lab scientific research, lab management, and organization.Managing mouse colonies and genotyping mouse strains by PCR or flow cytometry.Assisting data acquisition, data organization, manuscript revisions, and presentations.Conducting cell culture, manipulating cells by transfection, transduction, CRISPR.Lab bench work involving cell culture, DNA and RNA extraction, Western, ELISA, Flow staining, flow cytometry and other basic lab techniques.This job provides technical and administrative support in a laboratory environment performing basic laboratory techniques, research and analysis under direction.Provides routine or standardized laboratory duties by collecting data in support of research projects under direct supervision.Collects and enters data. Assists in analysis of data and with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.Complies with institution, state and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).Work Experience: Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through

Preferred QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.Experience:

Experience and understanding basic concepts and techniques in a biology lab.Be able to work and handling rodents; animal husbandry, including in charge of mouse colonies, genotyping mouse by PCR or flow cytometry.Fluent in office and statistical software.
