The Opportunity:In this role, you will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.Location:

Master's degree in applied/laboratory sciences preferred3-5+ years of lab experienceWorking knowledge of experimental laboratory instruments and scientific productsExperience with safe laboratory practices and proceduresExperience working in a GLP/GMP facility is considered a plusConform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical checkupsStrong communication skillsPerform duties with the highest regard for safety and qualityAbility to understand and follow scientific protocols, policies and proceduresMust be flexible, forward-thinking, and motivatedAble to act independently and manage responsibilities while following scientific directionMust be able to lift 25lbs minimumBasic computing skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)Skilled at prioritizing tasks, problem solving, and meeting deadlinesHow you will thrive and create an impact:Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.In this role you will:Be responsible for the development and accurate execution of lab experiments following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for a customerPerform routine qualitative and quantitative lab proceduresPrepares experiments and samples for analysesAnalyze and accurately report results, in a timely manner, to contribute to scientific meeting and project outcomesSetup, design, and conduct experiments with the support of the lab supervisor, manager, researcher, or scientistManage lab equipment including operation and routine maintenance of lab instruments and troubleshooting procedures in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Support Automation Systems including a Tecan Fluent system, a Thermo Inspire system, and the scheduling software controlling these systems (Fluent Control and Momentum)Responsible for setup on liquid handlersCreate and operate liquid handlers and plate readers essential for cell-based readouts, including, but not limited to the Tempest, Apricot, Pherastar, and LX4-LCMS systemsPerform process integration and programming to perform assay steps across multi-day experiments, enhancing efficiency and accuracyValidate assays as outlined by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)Process and record screening data through the customer's system of record to effectively organize and manage experimental outcomeDevelop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assay steps, and robotic procedures to effectively all work performedManage data in an electronic notebook to maintain detailed and organized records of all experiments and findingsAccurately document all procedures following customer requirementsOther duties as assignedWhy Avantor?Dare to go further in your career.
