Shakopee Public School is excited to have Officer Santos serve as a School Resource Officer (SRO) for East Middle School. Officer Santos has held an SRO position at Shakopee High School since January of 2022 and transitioned to East Middle School in the 2024-25 school year. Officer Santos has been with the Shakopee Police Department for more than 12 years.Prior to his role as SRO, Officer Santos was a patrol officer, Drug Task Force agent and an investigator with the Proactive Policing Unit.Get to Know Officer SantosWhat was your favorite memory of school?
Admittedly, I was not always the best student academically or behaviorally. I will always remember the teachers that took the time to individualize me, look past my short comings and encouraged my strengths.What’s one statement of encouragement that you have for high school students? Everybody makes mistakes. Having the accountability to accept them, the integrity to admit to them and the ability to learn from them is, to me, the most genuine sign of maturity and intelligence.Favorite sport or activity : I really enjoy working out and getting in shape for Fantasy Football.
