The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference.Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Coach – Softball for the Athletics Events – Operations department. Among the key duties of the position are the following:Assists in the coordination of a Softball intercollegiate athletic program which provides an opportunity for student-athletes to train and compete on a competitive, Division I softball program while attending school to earn a college degree.A valid driver’s license is required for this position; use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to proper rules of play in the sport of softball.Good organizational skills.Ability to communicate with student-athletes and the media.Computer literate.Preferred Qualifications
Coaching experience at the intercollegiate level.Physical Demands and Work Environment
Nights and weekends will be required.Special Conditions
Clean Driving Record.Qualifications
