Minimum QualificationsA Ph.D. degree in a pharmacy-related field and/or a Pharm.D. degree.

Position SummaryThe Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia is seeking an outstanding candidate to provide leadership in research, instruction, and service. The position is a 9-month faculty appointment at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor.

The primary duties of the faculty member will include teaching in undergraduate, professional (Pharm.D.), and graduate (Ph.D.) programs, establishing a robust extramurally funded, laboratory-based research program, and providing leadership within the department to enhance excellence in both research and educational endeavors.

The faculty member will be based at University of Georgia’s satellite campus in Augusta, Georgia.

Additional RequirementsA minimum of 2 years of post-doctoral training.

To be eligible for tenure upon appointment, candidates must be appointed as an associate or full professor, have been tenured at a prior institution, and bring a demonstrably national reputation to the institution. Candidates must be approved for tenure upon appointment before hire.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or CertificationPriority will be given to candidates demonstrating quality teaching practices and innovations, a proven track record of research, and expertise in cardiovascular biology and inflammation across various disease models, as well as in translational science aimed at enhancing patient care and fostering commercial applications. Familiarity with data science, machine learning, and/or virtual reality is desirable.

Duties/Responsibilities

Support the delivery of the undergraduate, professional and graduate programs of the College of Pharmacy (50%)

Develop a nationally recognized program of research (45%)

Support the service mission of the College of Pharmacy (5%)
