BTS is seeking an experienced
Data Scientist
to be part of our OSINT team with our military customer.Overview:The Data Scientist should have an Open-Source background and will be expected to do the following:Apply advanced statistical analysis techniques (e.g. general linear modeling, structural equation modeling, Bayesian methods, time series, forecasting, anomaly detection, exp design).Job Description:Develop and investigate advanced, complex algorithms and scientific solutions to complex technical problemsPlan and execute research of complex scope regularly involving multiple disciplinesCo-author / author external publications (conference papers / presentations, journal articles, books)Provide project management reporting and documentationProvide updates to internal project management for large, complex projectsActively support external project interactions with other companiesBe a technical leader or project manager on medium-sized projects (5-10 people) providing solutions that are highly innovativeParticipate in external project interactions with other companiesBe heavily involved in business development effortsServe as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programsBrief customers regularly on various issues/conceptsEstablish relationships with current and potential customersRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:BA or MS in Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or similar OR equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with search architecture (e.g., Solr, Elastic Search)5-7 years' experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, statisticsBig Data Frameworks such as Spark or HadoopData Science frameworks such as Keras, Tensorflow, or TheanoExperience with building querying ontologies such as Zeno, OWL, RDF, SparQLExperience with GPU processingExperience with machine learning (e.g. decision trees, topic modeling, neural networks/deep learning, natural language processing)Experience with optimization, simulation, modeling, network science, and structured analyticsExperience with sampling, collecting, computing, analyzing statistical data, and scripting and data analysis in R or PythonGraduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., OS301/OS302, or OS300)Desired Qualifications:Experience conducting intelligence analytical support for the DoDForeign language capabilities of 2+/2+ DLPT or betterKnowledge of scripting languages and technologies, including Python, Java, R Script, and JEMACompany Overview:BTS Software Solutions is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business who are community-focused innovators who transform ideas into technology to serve people.
