Your purpose-driven work will help leave lasting and positive impacts on patient lives.How you will make an impact:Evaluating environmental and/or safety needs with focus on any of the following: air compliance/permitting, wastewater solutions, ergonomics, and/or hazardous materials; propose options and implementation plans.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and lead risk assessments, including job safety analysis, HAZOP, contractor evaluations and ensuring compliance with EHS goals and programs.Providing EHS expertise for new processes, new products, and technologies and participating in the change control process of the site.Researching, analyzing, and evaluating data to create non-routine reports in response to internal and external requests.Investigating cause for EHS incidents from employees and deviations from compliance and recommending sound corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence and providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.Developing and revising specialized and/or complex EHS training and written programs to ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations; may deliver training as necessary.Acting as liaison with government agencies and submitting regulatory reports for EHS programs as assigned by Manager.Conducting periodic internal inspections and audits at the site to ensure continuous compliance with applicable regulations and standards; and providing guidance to appropriate team members.Acting as a back-up emergency incident commander and/or safety officer as required.What you’ll need (Required):Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Scientific field with 4 years of previously related industry experience OR Master’s Degree in Engineering or Scientific field with 3 years of previously related industry experience Required.Preferred Qualifications:Substantial understanding and knowledge of EPA, OSHA, local and federal regulationsStrong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skillsGood leadership skills and ability to influence changeMust be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projectsAbility to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizationsStrong documentation, communication and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skillsSubstantial understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned workStrict attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentAdhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/controlAligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.For California, the base pay range for this position is $88,000 to $124,000 (highly experienced).The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
