Purpose:Valkyrie Enterprises has a need for a

Marine Technician

for the SECAP Surface Enhance Capability to Assess Program who will schedule and track damage control assessments on U.S. Naval Vessels. This technician also conducts troubleshooting and repairs on HM&E systems, specifically: Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF), Counter Measure Washdown (CMWD), Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Halon, Main Drainage, and Fire-main systems in accordance with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and International Standards Organization (ISO). SECAP works with AFFF/ Counter Measure Wash Down (CMWD) systems onboard all U.S. Naval vessels.Job Description:

SECAP works with Deck equipment and Machinery systems onboard all U.S. Naval vessels in San Diego, CA.Provide shipboard equipment maintenance and practical shipboard instruction to ship's force to upgrade their ability to diagnose problems and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.This is a full-time, hourly position located in San Diego, CA.Qualifications:

Must have a BA/BS Degree in related field and at least 4 years of experience

OR

Associates and at least 8 years of experience

OR

HS Diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of technical or operational experience.Experience supporting U.S Navy Shipboard Deck Machinery.Must have at least 7 years of related experience troubleshooting, assessing, and inspecting shipboard systems and equipment.Must have experience in supporting the operation and maintenance of Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E), Auxiliaries or Main Propulsion equipment.Security Requirements:

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel - less than 10%.If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.Physical Requirements:
