Handle, store, and rotate all products properly and based on a schedule created by the restaurantOpen and close the kitchen properly, assists others, and follows checklists for kitchen stationsAssume 100% responsibility for quality of products servedKnow and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and proceduresParticipate in proactive communication to help avoid and solve operational, HR, and financial issuesBe flexible during shift to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directedWHAT YOU NEED TO BE A LINE COOK:One year plus of cooking experience, preferably at least six months experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume kitchenComfortable working with a team in a fast-paced, loud kitchen environmentHigh level of professionalismPassion for hospitality and foodAble to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplaceAble to read and follow a recipe to standardsAbility to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day in a confined area with fluctuating temperaturesCapable of lifting up to 50 pounds, as neededContinuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and armsWill be exposed to allergens such as nuts, seeds, soy, shellfish, and dairyOur Line Cooks are integral to our culinary operations. Because our kitchens make everything from scratch, our Line Cooks are responsible for efficiently portioning ingredients and preparing our recipes to standard. They also adhere to our quality and sanitation protocols to ensure the highest food safety.
