Appear as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigationNegotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriateManage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretaryPerform research on case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the caseModify, review, and draft demand letters, pleadings, claims, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documentsQualifications
Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are desiredA minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is necessaryComputer proficiency is essentialKnowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vitalMembership in the State Bar Association and a state license to practice law is mandatoryCompensation
