Public Safety - FireThe Town of Lisbon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Chief or senior officer with 5+ years of experience to lead our Fire Department. This is a unique opportunity to oversee the management and operations of two fire stations, ensuring the safety of our community through effective firefighting, fire prevention, and emergency management activities.Key Responsibilities:Direct and supervise full-time and volunteer firefighters.Administer and oversee the department budget, equipment maintenance, and department policies.Respond to and command emergency fire and hazmat situations.Lead the town’s fire prevention and community education programs.Serve as the Emergency Management Agency Director, Local Health Officer, and Forest Fire Warden.Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency medical services, and emergency management.Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage personnel and resources in high-stress situations.Experience in firefighting with progressive leadership roles.
