ManagerThe Town of Ashland is accepting applications for a full-time Town Manager. Ashland is a town of 1200+ year-round residents with a municipal budget of $3.7 million. The town is in Aroostook County next to the North Maine Woods. The town has a Council, Town Manager, and Town Meeting form of government.Responsibilities:Thorough knowledge of public administration, including personnel management, financial management, and public sector management principles, policies, and practices.Ability to interpret municipal policies and procedures, Town ordinances, and Federal and State statutes.Plan, organize, supervise, and inspect the work of professional, technical, and support personnel.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, town officials, the business community, the general public, and County, State, and Federal officials.This is a full-time salaried position with a full benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position will remain open until a suitable candidate can be hired.
