Assist in creating an inspiring learning environment, curriculum, and educational direction which secures sustained improvement in students’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.Contribute to making GIS a vibrant workplace.Share in developing relational connections with faculty.Help with reception desk when needed.Assist the principal in preparing and processing activity requests, including follow up and working with other divisions to complete successful activities and events.Welcome visitors and help them sign in and provide them with information.Students

Supervise student movement outside of classrooms (lunches, pick up/drop off, hallways, etc.), ensuring physical safety and campus safety.In collaboration with others, oversee extra-curricular activities and manage communication between stakeholders (transportation, different divisions, etc.).Share in coordinating student discipline, including suspensions and detention.Monitor student academic progress and attendance.Participate in new student enrollment process as delegated by the Middle School Principal.Share walk-around presence around campus.Intentionally shepherd and care for students.Staff

Participate in new staff interviews at the request of the Middle School Principal.Contribute to good management practice by ensuring positive staff participation, effective communication, and procedures.Help provide support for Middle School faculty and staff, at the request of the Middle School Principal.Assess current practice and recommend changes and training.Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the Administration immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible.Maintain confidentiality of student and school personnel information.Sub Coordinator

Find/recruit and maintain additional substitute teachers.Be available to substitute when needed.Implement lesson plans left by the teacher, ensuring the integrity of academic time and motivating students to learn and participate.Maintain discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment.Ensure adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students.Report back to the classroom teacher with relevant information about the day.Return instructional materials, equipment, and keys to proper place.Other

Oversee the organization and planning of Parent Teacher Conferences.Serve as alternate test coordinator and supervisor.Attend all Middle School division meetings, staff meetings, planning meetings, etc. as requested by the Middle School Principal.Assist the principal in making arrangements for events such as orientation, assemblies, staff meetings, and other division activities.Prepare gifts for school aides and staff volunteers.Own and edit Middle School Calendar for all middle school events.Consistently communicate on behalf of the Middle School (manager of MS Office account, Weekly Roar contributions, MS Parent emails, MS Student emails, and internal communication with other divisions when needed).Other duties as assigned by Middle School principal.
