JOB SUMMARY: Ideal candidates are highly motivated and effective at working in a fast-paced team environment. We are looking for a customer-focused individual who shares our passion for hospitality and creating exceptional and memorable experiences. The Relief Concierge is responsible for welcoming and supporting guests with their stay, questions, concerns, and other inquiries. Assist the Front Office team to facilitate communication between guests, hotel visitors, and colleagues to ensure a high level of service to everyone who visits our location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Enhance Guest Quality Assurance Standards.

Enhance the guest experience by making a positive contribution to overall guest satisfaction.

Effectively communicate with guests, managers, supervisors, and co-workers including members of other departments.

Participate in weekly and monthly department meetings.

Serve as the liaison between Hotel and VIP Guests.

Ensure that all amenities going out for the day are entered into ALICE.

Send pre-arrival message to all VIP guests so that Hotel may anticipate time of arrival.

Coordinate with Housekeeping on all VIP rooms.

Coordinate guests’ needs, requests, and inquiries to ensure superiority and value for our guests.

Collect and provide comprehensive information and coordinate guest requests including but not limited to hotel services, sporting events, places of interest, restaurants, theater, airline, transportation tickets, limousine rentals, sightseeing tours, and any other information of interest. Handle reservations and obtain/issue tickets where applicable.

Provide guest assistance with florists, couriers, mail services, rental of equipment, international calls, and other special requests.

Respond appropriately to guest concerns or complaints in a timely manner. Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.

Have Complete knowledge of the Hotel facilities, guest rooms and their locations.

Promote Safety Awareness and practice Safe Work. Ensure compliance with accident prevention guidelines.

Be knowledgeable about hotel repeat guest programs and reward programs.

Recognize all repeat guests, VIPs, and Reward members.

Assist Front Desk with check ins/outs and answering phones when needed.

Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments. Be aware of and prepare for all in-house group meetings and VIP arrivals.

Maintain a neat and orderly desk and area that reflects highly on the hotel.

Perform other duties as assigned such as assisting the bell stand, providing luggage, and reserving van transportation requests.

Make dining reservations for both transient and in-house guests for hotel restaurants.

Maintain an organized and well-kept work area/environment.

Any other duties as deemed necessary by management.

JOB TYPE: Part Time

PAY RATE: $19.25

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. College degree preferred but not required. English fluency required. Minimum one year experience of concierge or customer service in hospitality preferred. Experience hospitality preferred but not required.

SKILLS AND APTITUTES: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively. High quality standards for production and customer service. Maintain a professional and courteous environment. Ability to effectively manage and problem solve situations. Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Able to effectively demonstrate associate competencies and participates in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and e-mail systems. Knowledge of systems such as Opera and Delphi preferred.
