Newhouse School of Public Communications invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Advertising Data Strategy. The start date for this position is August 2024.Preference will be given to candidates with expertise or interest in topic areas that complement one or more of the teaching and research specialization(s) in the department. This may include data strategy and AI technology, social media analytics, international advertising, and advertising insight/strategy. The candidate is to be a catalyst who can introduce innovative views, inspire students, and build their confidence in data and AI, while equipping students with the skills they will need for the workplace of the future.QualificationsEnthusiasm and promise for exemplary teaching, whether through prior teaching experience or similar professional roles mentoring/supervising young advertising practitioners.Evidence of familiarity with the research/planning sector of the advertising industry, bringing cutting-edge knowledge to the classroom, and sharpening students' skillsets that closely meet industry demands.Active engagement in scholarly research/creative activity by maintaining a strong research agenda in the individual area of expertise.Master’s degree required.
