We invite you to contribute your talents to our community.The Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) at Roosevelt is comprised of three Conservatories: Music, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Theatre. Our faculty and staff maintain successful professional careers in their chosen fields alongside their commitment to training and educating our students in preparation to enter performing arts industries. The Theatre Conservatory seeks adjunct instructors to substitute for a variety of dance classes when our instructors have conflicts with professional engagements or other conflicts.Qualified instructors would remain on our roster for the 2024-25 academic year and might cover a variety of courses. We offer classes in the following dance styles to BFA Acting, Musical Theatre and Musical Theatre Dance majors, as well as to BA Theatre Studies majors:Ballet Levels 1-4Jazz Levels 1-4Tap Levels 1-3Applications will be reviewed immediately with expected start dates in the Fall 2024 semester.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Successful applicants will have working expertise in various dance styles relevant to musical theatre and knowledge of the history and culture of musical theatre dance.Years of Experience Required:

1-2 years teaching at the university levelRequired Education:

Bachelor's DegreePreferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Dance, Theatre Performance, or related professional experience.Equipment Operated:

Studio sound system, basic office/classroom equipment and Smart-classroom equipment (computer, monitor, projector and audio equipment).Working Conditions:
