The Geography & Environmental Resources Program invites applications for a pool of part-time lecturer applicants from candidates qualified to teach undergraduate geography and environmental resources courses. Because program needs vary from semester to semester, applicants are encouraged to identify any of the following areas of coursework they would be qualified to teach in: introductory and upper-division undergraduate courses in human geography, physical geography (including a lab course), GIS/geospatial technology, environmental resources, and sustainability. Candidates interested in teaching more advanced courses should indicate the range and depth of their relevant professional training.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A Ph.D. in Geography, Environmental Studies, or Environmental Science is preferred. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range 2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range.
