Come be part of the Asset Technical Department of ExxonMobil Canada Energy. Our offices are located on the East Coast of Canada in St. John's, Newfoundland with a workforce of nearly 250 people and two world class offshore production assets.
What role you will play in our team
ExxonMobil Canada is seeking a geoscientist to supports upstream operations in Eastern Canada. The successful applicant will support two world-class offshore facilities, Hibernia and Hebron.
You will work in a team environment with geoscientists and engineers of varying backgrounds to identify and capture opportunities. Responsibilities will include the integration of geophysical and geologic interpretations to generate drill well opportunities, manage production data for field enhancement, and plan/execute drill wells.

Your responsibilities may include work related to:Generate high-quality investment opportunities for ExxonMobil CanadaProvide geologic and geotechnical support to any of the Canada East PropertiesIntegrate well, seismic (3D) and production performance data to generate drill well opportunitiesIntegrate reservoir and production data for field enhancementGenerate core descriptions and well log interpretation for analysis of depositional environments and reservoir characterizationGenerate scenario-based analysis of in-place volumes, recovery efficiencies, and flowstreamsPossess a broad understanding of the economic principles and interrelationships which impact project viability and development scope and their relationship to the geoscience / engineering evaluation and uncertaintiesCollaborate with other subsurface and surface disciplines (Engineering, Drilling, Regulatory, etc) and Project Teams to ensure alignment and progress of investment opportunities
About you
Skills and Qualifications
Post-Graduate (M.Sc. or Ph.D) or bachelor's degree in Geology or Geophysics or Geological EngineeringA minimum of at least 3 years industry experience in upstream oil and gas
