ExxonMobil Canada is seeking a geoscientist to support upstream operations in Eastern Canada. The successful applicant will support two world-class offshore facilities, Hibernia and Hebron.You will work in a team environment with geoscientists and engineers of varying backgrounds to identify and capture opportunities. Responsibilities will include the integration of geophysical and geologic interpretations to generate drill well opportunities, manage production data for field enhancement, and plan/execute drill wells.What you will do

Your responsibilities may include work related to:Generate high-quality investment opportunities for ExxonMobil CanadaProvide geologic and geotechnical support to any of the Canada East PropertiesIntegrate well, seismic (3D) and production performance data to generate drill well opportunitiesIntegrate reservoir and production data for field enhancementGenerate core descriptions and well log interpretation for analysis of depositional environments and reservoir characterizationGenerate scenario-based analysis of in-place volumes, recovery efficiencies, and flowstreamsPossess a broad understanding of the economic principles and interrelationships which impact project viability and development scope and their relationship to the geoscience/engineering evaluation and uncertaintiesCollaborate with other subsurface and surface disciplines (Engineering, Drilling, Regulatory, etc) and Project Teams to ensure alignment and progress of investment opportunitiesAbout you

Skills and QualificationsPost-Graduate (M.Sc. or Ph.D) or bachelor's degree in Geology or Geophysics or Geological EngineeringA minimum of at least 3 years industry experience in upstream oil and gasPreferred Qualifications/ ExperienceWillingness to contribute in a fast-paced, highly technical and globally competitive work environmentAn ability to find innovative solutions to challenging production, development and commercial problemsDemonstrates initiative, independence and accountability for tasks and recognizes their impact on the businessStrong oral and written communication skills and familiarity with technical report writingExperience in Petrel considered beneficial, but not essentialBroad background in geology with familiarity of sequence and seismic stratigraphic conceptsFamiliarity with structural mappingExposure to 3D and 4D seismic reflection data interpretationExposure to acquisition, processing, and interpretation of 3D and/or 4D seismic reflection data, including seismic attributes and geophysical modelingLocation:
