We offer a complete benefits package and opportunities for your continued growth and development!Summary:The Environmental Manager administers the plant environmental program following federal and state environmental laws and regulations. This position ensures ongoing environmental compliance and fosters best practices in all operations. The position implements environmental policies and practices, supports development of environmental strategies to meet targets, and deploys tools and systems to monitor performance and strategic outcomes.What you’ll be contributing:Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.Evaluate site environmental performance, identify corrective actions through audits, and implement follow-up assessments.Serve as the corporate contact with regulatory and community stakeholders relating to environmental matters and support individual sites on these matters.Participate in projects involving environmental issues including contact with regulatory agencies, and accompany inspectors during inspections.Ensure compliance with all environmental permits and all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.Assist regulatory agencies by providing information and assistance.Complete, administer, and assist in the preparation of various air quality reports/renewals.Contract with training consultants and purchase cost-effective training media.Coordinate and supervise stack testing activities and review/approve all stack testing reports.Complete, administer, and assist with various surveys and questionnaires from internal and external sources.Perform audits of the monitoring systems including data acquisition systems, and maintain/administer changes.Work with Waste Fuels Manager to provide daily coverage of essential daily functions.Coordinate all training efforts and goals with the Waste Fuels Manager and Manager of Environmental Affairs.Obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications for plant environmental compliance.Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.To succeed in this position, you will need:Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.Bachelor's Degree in environmental resource management or related field required.Minimum of 7 years of experience in the environmental field is required.Minimum of 7 years of experience in cement, mining, or related industry preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in working with regulatory agencies preferred.Demonstrated written communication skills.Strong verbal communication and listening skills.Demonstrated problem-solving skills.Ability to lead/manage others.Excellent organizational skills including the ability to plan.Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision-making skills.Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office products.Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety and environmental laws and regulations.Working knowledge of environmental programs, policies, and practices applicable to a cement manufacturing environment.What’s next for you?We provide stability and advancement opportunities across North America.
