Summary:Responsible for assisting with the day to day operation and direct supervision of assigned activities within the Security Emergency Response department. Oversee overall department and/or shift(s) as assigned. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Assist with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assignedReview all documentation generated by shift to include, but not limited to Daily Activity Reports and Incident ReportsPerform, as necessary, all duties required of Security ERT OfficersProvide protection for guests and team membersProvide overall protection of company assets.Guard transfers of moneys and tokens on the casino floor as well as the physical transportation of hopper fills, chip fills and creditsInteract with guests and employees in a professional mannerInteract with local law enforcement and emergency medical services as requiredApprove completed Incident ReportsIdentify and respond to emergency situations including in-progress acts of violence, crisis, weapons incidents, explosive incidents, natural disasters, and a wide range of issues posing a hazard to lives and/or property using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established protocolsAssist in providing backup to the Security team on calls that have a potential to escalate to violenceAssist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation proceduresRender appropriate first aid to injured personsMaintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weaponsWork well with other departments and management as necessaryInteract with guests and team members in a professional manner and interact with local law enforcement agencies as requiredPerform all duties in accordance with Golden Entertainment Security Department policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the positionPerform all other security, training or administrative duties as assignedProvide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standardsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum 3 years as a law enforcement officer or; 3 years armed security within Golden Entertainment, or 3 years armed security outside of Golden Entertainment or; or 4 years of service as a military police officer or; or in a related combat MOS that demonstrated practices, techniques, and judicious use of force, to include firearmsRequired to complete pre-employment firearms qualificationsProven experience using sound judgment and making appropriate decisions during challenging situations and/or interacting with challenging patronsAbility to respond to direction and/or orders from supervisory personnel, especially in the context of an active shooter, assault, or other similar situationsProven experience providing high level of guest serviceExcellent guest service skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications preferredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondenceAble to attend and successfully complete all quarterly firearms training and annual security recertification trainingCompliance with all mandatory training courses and certifications on an annual basisMust be able and willing to successfully complete Title 31 annual trainingMust be at least 21 years of ageHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalObtain and maintain all work cards as required by the companyVerify right to work in the United StatesWork CardsNevada GamingAlcohol AwarenessValid Drivers License10 Year DMV History ReportCPR & First AidPhysical RequirementsAbility to work for continuous time periods in extreme heat and coldRegularly walk, stand, stoop or sit at a desk or tableAbility to jog or run as situations dictateAbility to walk or run up multiple flights of stepsAbility to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 75 lbs.Speech, literacy, hearing and vision (critical)Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps and stairsAbility to distinguish shades of colorWork for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detailCommunicate via radiosWork Environment Potential ConditionsIndoorOutdoorSmokyNoiseExtreme Heat and ColdDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
