Assistant Professor (two positions)

The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at UNC-Chapel Hill invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in the Clinical Program to begin July 2025. Our highly ranked, dually accredited Clinical Program (APA and PCSAS) ascribes to the clinical science philosophy and has two tracks: child and adult. We encourage applicants for both tracks, including those with a lifespan perspective. Our departmental website states our goals and values, and we seek applicants consistent with them. We are especially interested in applicants who will expand our impact by adding new or complementary research areas to our vibrant and collaborative clinical faculty, as well as those who can foster collaborations across the Department and campus. We encourage applicants to describe in their cover letter how their work would grow in the context of our program, department, and UNC.Primary Responsibilities:Conducting high-quality research.Publishing in peer-reviewed journals and broader dissemination.Securing external funding for research.Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in clinical science and related areas.Contributing to research mentoring and clinical supervision of doctoral students.Engaging in departmental, university, and professional service activities.Minimum Qualifications:Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.Demonstrated track record or potential for high-quality research.Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentorship.Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in North Carolina.For more details and to apply, please see:
