Role: Senior Scientist, In-vivo Pharmacology

Marengo Therapeutics is seeking an experienced and highly motivated In vivo Pharmacologist to join our Immunology research team. As a member of Marengo’s Immunology research team, you will contribute to the characterization of novel T cell-engagers by driving in vivo pharmacological studies to identify clinical candidates.

Responsibilities:

Design, hands-on execution, and interpretation of a wide variety of in vivo pharmacological studies (PK, PD, efficacy, antigen-driven biodistribution, biomarker discovery) to assess drug exposure, target engagement, and anti-tumor activity, drug mechanism of action, and biomarker identification.

Record keeping of experimental data and results and maintain a current and accurate electronic notebook (ELN).

Contribute to in vivo pharmacological plan strategy, optimization and derive actionable biological conclusions and bring new experimental proposals.

Drive and work effectively within cross-functional teams in a matrix environment and implement critical studies to deliver lead/drug candidates to crucial inflection points.

Engage with broader project teams via teamwork to advance portfolio projects.

Provide ideas and perform research to identify and explore new opportunities for developing immune-mediated therapeutics, including continued evolution of the in vivo pharmacology platform at Marengo.

Develop a clear, fully resourced plan for project progression and deliver to agreed timelines.

Contribute to scientific literature through publication and presentation of research results.

Author documents relevant to regulatory submissions.

Manage relationships with off-site vivariums and maintain animal protocol up-to-date.

Education and Experience:

PhD with 6+ years or MS with 10+ years of directly relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience in the field of cancer immunology, T cell biology and/or immuno-oncology, or related discipline with a focus on in vivo pharmacology.

Scientific expertise in in vivo models related to immuno-oncology/oncology, such as murine tumor xenograft, syngeneic, or patient-derived xenograft models.

Deep understanding of biologics drug discovery and early-stage drug development as relates to the critical requirement to build a pharmacology package for candidate drug nomination.
