Job Description & Qualification

Candidates are expected to conduct research suitable for publication in top-tier journals, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, with a strong preference for areas such as auditing, accounting information systems, and data analytics, actively participate in department and school activities, and perform other related duties as assigned.

We expect the candidate to be a fully engaged participant in the life of the Mike Ilitch School of Business. The typical teaching load is two courses each in fall and winter semesters.Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. or A.B.D. in Accounting (to be completed before August 2025) from an AACSB-accredited business school. For the position of an associate professor, some previous teaching and publication experience are required.Desirable Education and Experience

Evidence of potential to publish in top-tier academic journals.Interest and experience in teaching courses in auditing, accounting information systems, and accounting data analytics are highly preferable.Skills and knowledge to infuse emerging technologies into the classroom and research.Able to teach face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online courses in the Accounting Department’s undergraduate, MSA, and MBA programs.Application Procedure
