Job Description

The Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS) at Georgia Tech Research Institute is looking for Graduate Research Assistants for the upcoming Spring 2025 semester. The students should have experience with programming and/or modeling and simulation. The strongest candidates would also have a background or familiarity with graph-based analysis, and/or Model Based Systems Engineering including experience with one or more of the following Systems Modeling Languages/Tools: Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, etc.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Pursuing a Master's degree or PhD at Georgia Tech in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.Must be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours)Must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPACommit to 15-20 hours of work per week

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SysML tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, etc.Experience in Java, C, or Python programming languagesKnowledge of systems engineering and/or aerospace engineeringKnowledge of graph-based problem solvingStrong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering conceptsAbility to clearly communicate technical ideas

15-20 hours per week

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
