Location:856 Health Sciences QuadUniversity of California, IrvineIrvine, CA 92617United StatesJob Posted Date:March 26, 2024Full-time PositionsPostdoc PositionsPopulation:Global HealthThe Department of Population Health & Disease Prevention, Program in Public Health at the University of California-Irvine seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher for research to examine quality of life after cancer in the UCI Behavioral Medicine Research Laboratory (www.bmed.publichealth.uci.edu).We are seeking to hire a highly motivated, dedicated individual who has excellent management, organization, communication, intervention, and research skills, and understands cancer survivorship.Responsibilities:

Lead efforts in the recruitment and enrollment of research participantsWork closely with the principal investigator to administer research assessments and facilitate biological specimen collection and transportDeliver behavioral interventions to research participantsMaintain project documentation and reportingAssist in grant writing and research disseminationJob Requirements:

PhD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or other related field in the behavioral sciences with counseling or psychotherapy experienceKnowledge and skills related to research project management, data collection, intervention delivery or psychotherapy, and proposal and manuscript writingExcellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skillsSolid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-managementStrong teamwork skills. Prior experience in behavioral medicine research or cancer survivorship research is a plus. Spanish-speaking candidates are highly preferred.
