Job Details:SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to producers caring for the company's birds regarding proper care and comfort. Duties include advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation; conducting farm visits to document bird comfort; managing the flock and equipment settings; directing feed and light schedules; monitoring bird health, egg production, body weight, and conformation; providing remedies when possible; monitoring feed consumption; pulling blood and fat samples on time when required; coordinating bird placements to the farms; helping with catch schedules; and ensuring communication between hatchery, feed mill, vaccination crews, and live-haul as it pertains to their contract farms. The role ensures that producers and the company comply with the production contract to produce flocks of the highest quality and lowest cost due to good performance while following all USDA and other government regulations when handling poultry.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.Experience: 1+ year.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.Relocation Assistance Eligible:
