The Statistics Department in the Bailey College of Science and Mathematics at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers from our local geographic area. Positions are available as determined by need during Fall, Winter, and/or Spring quarters of the 2024-25 academic year. Duties involve teaching undergraduate statistics courses.Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. M.S. in Statistics or a related field is required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching and/or industrial experience involving applied statistics.SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The Statistics Department offers a program of study leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics, while also offering minors in statistics, data science, and actuarial studies to students majoring in other disciplines. There are twenty tenure-track faculty members in the department, all of whom have their PhD degree in Statistics, as well as several full-time and part-time lecturers.ALL APPLICANTS are expected to attach a cover letter, resume/CV, and unofficial transcripts of their highest degree earned.
