We are looking for a Middle School Softball Coach to coach our amazing Middle Schoolers! The Middle School Team allows any student, regardless of ability or experience, to participate.Responsibilities include:

Coaching and encouraging student athletes.Creating team configurations and running two or three after-school practices per week.Setting up training plans and attending all competitions (at least two during the season).Preparing well-organized practice plans.Being punctual and available from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at least two to three weekdays per week.Demonstrating strong and clear communication and collaboration skills.Working and collaborating well with youth and other coaches.Compensation and Hours

$25 per hour depending on experience.Two or three 2-hour practices per week (schedule TBD - M/W or T/Th from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm), supervising team members until all students are picked up, plus at least two competitions during the season.Qualifications

Required: high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.Valid California driver’s license and a minimum of five years of driving experience.Must pass a background check, LiveScan, and TB (Tuberculosis) Risk Assessment.Availability two to three weekdays between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.Ability to drive players to practice locations using school vans and supervise the team until all players have been picked up from practice/competitions.Expected hours: 8 to 10 hours per week.Prior experience coaching or playing the sport is preferred, and an understanding of the fundamentals of the sport is needed.Ability to encourage and accommodate Middle School girls who have a wide variety of skills and abilities.
