Clinical Assistant/Associate ProfessorPosition Type:

Non-tenure track, full-time 12 month appointment.The faculty member will provide patient-centered, evidence-based clinical pharmacy services at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. The focus of care is adult internal medicine. Hospital responsibilities include clinical rounding with the Marshall Internal Medicine (MUIM) teaching team, patient education, therapeutic drug monitoring, educational in-services, medication therapy consults, and quality assurance activities (MUE, clinical pharmacist care impact, fiscal impact analysis, etc.). Marshall University School of Pharmacy has partnered with St. Mary’s Medical Center to provide exceptional patient care and educational programs for Marshall University School of Pharmacy students. This includes the Scholars Program for pharmacy students in Infectious Diseases, Critical Care, and Emergency Medicine. This position provides the internal medicine learning experience for the Scholars.The faculty member will have teaching responsibilities including didactic, laboratory, case/simulation-based, and experiential teaching (IPPE and APPE) within the school of pharmacy curriculum. The faculty member will also engage in scholarship and service commensurate with this position and be expected to participate in the education of PGY-1 pharmacy residents at SMMC. The faculty member will also be expected to complete school and university committee service and scholarly research in their area of expertise.Location:
