If you're an enthusiastic team player who thrives in an environment where communication, creativity, and cooperation are encouraged, this may just be the opportunity for you.About You:This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.About the Opportunity:As a Traffic Attendant/Transportation Guide, you set the stage for the perfect guest experience upon boarding our amazing cruises. You provide exceptional guest service by ensuring the best accommodations for parking services and guidance.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:This role is an outdoor role that will require the transportation aide to serve as a guest service liaison to manage traffic flow of guests and transport groups/charters to designated docking area.Direct incoming guests to available parking spaces and answer guest questions about parking, vessel information, cruises & more.Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.Assist in guiding vehicular or pedestrian traffic, regulating the movement and flow of vehicles to avoid traffic congestion.Resolve guest problems within the scope of authority; otherwise, refer to the supervisor/manager on duty.Ensure guests are operating their vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with traffic laws while directing traffic flow.Communicate to guests professionally when problems arise.Load and unload guests at the bus zone who are actively cruising.Direct bus drivers to recommended parking.Direct/guide guests from the bus zone to the vessels.Assist the ticket booth with the execution of guests.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Requirements & Qualifications:Must have a minimum of 1 year customer service experience.Ability and willingness to work in an outdoor environmental element as a traffic attendant - heat, wind, snow, rain.Must be flexible to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Requires standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time/entire work shift.Possess strong communication skills and guest service while maintaining a professional demeanor.A positive, upbeat personality that sets the tone and example for the entire team.Ability to work well with others.A passion for providing outstanding customer service, and a commitment to demonstrating and teaching guest service skills to others.Able to maintain a patient, calm, and pleasant demeanor in hectic, challenging circumstances.Ability to multi-task and to assess and adjust priorities and interactions with multiple guests.Possesses an upbeat, 'can-do' attitude.A sense of humor that keeps things light even under challenging conditions.Ability to work in a standing position for an hour at a time.
