If that sounds like a challenge you want to help tackle, we want you to join our team!The OpportunityReporting to Manager, Air Emissions within the US Environment team, this position will be an integral part of the team responsible for supporting compliance reporting at both the federal and state level. The role will also deliver air emissions reporting to support the US business unit and corporate functions.Please note this role could be located in

Houston Texas, Troy Michigan or Charleston West Virginia.What you'll doProvide technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the evaluation and reporting of air emissions to ensure compliance with environmental regulationsPrepare government mandated air compliance reporting of emission sources, permit applications and emissions inventoriesParticipate with a team of internal environmental SMEs to assure compliance with and audit/review of company operating procedures and processesIdentify emerging environmental air related issues, assessing gaps and providing recommendations to address themCollaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. team peers, Field Operations, Corporate and Legal teams) and external stakeholders (e.g. regulatory agencies) to proactively identify, analyze and assess impact of air emissions risks and policiesCommission and oversee consultant work for air emissions, modeling, permit application, emerging issues, risk assessment and regulatory mitigation strategies, data inventory and audit functionsManage projects, schedules and budgets as necessarySupport development and coordination of responses to public, regulatory and legislative information requests on air emission issues.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree, or preferably Master's Degree, in engineering, environmental sciences or environmental engineering, computer science or related fields with a focus on climate change and air emissionsMinimum 6 years experience in managing environmental planning and air permitting for transmission pipelines, storage facilities and other energy projects, including routing/siting, environmental planning, project management, permitting and environmental complianceComprehensive knowledge of environmental laws/regulations practices including the Clean Air Act pertaining to the pipeline transmission and storage sector, pipeline development and other energy project developmentExperience and knowledge of environmental information management systems including one or more of the following software systems: CEDRI, SLEIS or othersProficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level)Knowledge and ability to run queries against data using SQL and Power BI (or similar tools)Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience with Federal & State air permitting processes for transmission pipelines and storage facilities across the USPrevious experience with complex regulatory, permitting and compliance air/GHG issues on major operations and construction projectsExpertise in assessing the impact of and developing/implementing strategies to address environmental air emissions regulatory initiativesExpertise supporting corporate GHG and air emissions reportingDemonstrated understanding and experience managing large groups of operational data at a detailed or summary level to support air emission calculation and reportingDemonstrated sound analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are loosely defined and/or where information is available but must be further analyzed.To remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.About our businessTC Energy is a leading energy infrastructure company in North America.
