Job DescriptionThe Department of Journalism in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Richmond is seeking to hire a tenure-track/ tenured professor at the assistant, associate or full-professor rank. Areas of expertise that the committee will consider include, but are not limited to, the following: global journalism, data journalism, business journalism and sustainability reporting. Candidates with expertise in other areas are encouraged to apply. The appointment will begin in August, 2025.The Department of Journalism in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Richmond is seeking to hire a tenure-track/ tenured professor at the assistant, associate or full-professor rank. The appointment will begin in August, 2025.Job RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or a terminal Master's degree in a relevant field and five or more years of full-time experience in professional journalism in any medium. Experience teaching at the college level is highly valued. The faculty member in this position is expected to teach existing course offerings and develop new courses in their areas of expertise.
