The Huang Research Group invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow to start in Sep 2024. The successful candidate will work with multiple research projects in reliability and risk assessment of various infrastructure systems.Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct structural reliability analysis, life-cycle analysis, and deterioration modeling.Help mentor graduate and undergraduate students.Co-author peer-reviewed journal articles, prepare project reports, and disseminate results at conferences.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Earned doctorate (or its foreign equivalent) or appropriate terminal degree.Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in reliability and risk analysis, probabilistic modeling for deterioration processes, and decision-making under uncertainties is highly desirable.Experience in applying machine learning and performing Bayesian updating is highly desirable.Experience in structural engineering and finite element modeling is desirable.Experience in mentoring graduate and/or undergraduate students in a research setting is desirable.Department:
