Injury Prevention Academic AdvisorSchedule:Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per weekCore work hours: 9 AM to 3 PMJob Summary:
The Injury Prevention Academic Advisor will coordinate and facilitate the IHS Injury and Violence Prevention Fellowship and assist with academic reviews and revisions for the Injury Prevention Program courses.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and Facilitate Training:Run the IHS Injury and Violence Prevention Fellowship.Travel for fellowship and project support to specified locations.Review and update fellowship curriculum.Consult and Assist:Work with the IHS Injury Prevention Academic Review Committee.Support the IHS Injury Prevention Program Manager.Oversee Fellows’ progress during training.Plan and Organize Training:Schedule fellowship activities and ensure deadlines are met.Help Fellows complete their projects.Prepare and update training materials.Administrative Tasks:Create reports and presentations.Help prepare Fellowship projects for publication.Qualifications:Knowledge of American Indian/Alaska Native culture and medicine.Expertise in community injury prevention and public health.Experience in teaching and curriculum development.Strong communication and organizational skills.
