Position Highlights:Position: Research Coordinator, CardiologyLocation: Glenview, ILFull Time/Part Time: Full TimeHours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pmWhat you will do:Prepare sites for conducting the study, including assisting PIs with feasibility assessmentsDevelop Standard Operating ProceduresDevelop study forms, necessary database programs & data collection/entry strategies with applicable staffTrain medical assistants and nurses with regard to study protocolsReview & prepare correspondence with the Endeavor IRB (initial submission, protocol amendments, adverse events, yearly progress reports, etc)Maintain regulatory documents as per sponsor & IRB protocolsScreen subjects for eligibilityResponsible for recruitment, coordination of care (in compliance with study protocol), and retention of research subjectsParticipate in the Informed Consent processComplete study activities as dictated by research protocols (including face to face and telephone assessments, medical records abstraction, etc.)Responsible for specimen collection, processing, and shipping (as applicable)Coordinate & schedule appointments for diagnostic tests & procedures associated w/study protocolsResponsible for completing & maintaining CRF's & source documentationFollow proper subject billing proceduresManage payments to study subjectsComplete study close-out activities for each study and follow appropriate archiving/storing/retention procedures and policiesWhat you will need:Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in social, biological or healthcare sciences) or equivalent years of experienceCertification: Research certification (CCRP) after 2-year employment in research positionExperience: 1-2 years minimum experience as a Research Assistant or Research Coordinator in human subjects research (or equivalent position) required.
