About This Role:
The Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, Kansas State University, is recruiting an Assistant or Associate Professor with expertise in the area of plant nematology. This Faculty position is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment with an approximately 90% Research and 10% Teaching distribution of effort.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess
Ph.D. degree in Plant Pathology or related disciple with strong component in plant nematology
Demonstrated research excellence with the desire to mentor graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
Strong communication skills with a desire to teach and a commitment to expand and foster diversity
Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills that would facilitate work with diverse multi-disciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience related to plant parasitic nematodes of economically important crops
Background in data analytics and applied statistics for plant disease
Ability to acquire extramural funding to build and maintain an active research program
