Food Runner / Busperson
This position at Opaline Bar & Brasserie is for a passionate food service individual who will provide an exceptional experience to our guests and assist in all aspects of breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Assist servers with food delivery, clearing tables, and setting up tables
Assisting guests with queries
Attend to buffet items
Replenish items and guest amenities
Restock and maintain inventory levels of all products
Ensure overall cleanliness of the restaurant at all times
Early morning shifts include weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Follow restaurant policies, procedures and service standards
Have full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, contents, and preparation methods
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
May have to assist In-Room Dining team
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Your experience and skills include:
Previous experience in food service industry an asset
Previous experience as busser/server’s assistant in luxury setting an asset
Excellent communication and organizational skills in English
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Food handler certification an asset
Certification in CPR an asset
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, and without supervision
Ability to multi task and work cohesively as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Abilities:
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
Reach 1-2 feet
Remain in stationary position for 2 hours throughout work shift
Constant standing and walking
Exert physical effort in carrying items (up to 40 pounds)
Frequent lifting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
