link.At Rutgers University, the Computer Science Department and Douglass Women in Science and Engineering are seeking an instructor for the Computer Science Living-Learning Community course, Big Ideas in Computer Science, 1cr. The coordinated curriculum has recently been renovated to focus on hands-on pedagogies, project- and computing-based activities, and current technologies. The course utilizes a breadth-first approach engaging students in computing related application areas and societal contributions. Elements include active learning, computing curiosity, gamification, and current technologies that are appropriately leveled for first-year students. Candidates should be well versed in topics affecting women in computing at the college level and in the workplace and interested in the advancement of women in computer science.Position Information
