Located a ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, RSU#23 is a 675 student district seeking a BCBA to join our special education team. This is a full-time, teacher contract position that is ongoing and not grant funded. The successful candidate should possess the following:
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Valid Maine DOE Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support students and staff within the classroom setting
Assist in the development of programs to serve students with behavioral challenges
Provide consultation to administration, programs, and individual staff members
Design and deliver appropriate professional development, in response to district needs
Conduct and write Functional Behavior Assessments
Develop and implement Positive Behavior Support Plans
Co-facilitate various team meetings across the district as a behavior program coordinator and leader
Provide coaching to implement data-driven behavior strategies
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of Chapter 101 Regulations
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share best practices
Excellent communication with parents, teachers, administrators, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote and support student success
Demonstrated ability to understand and support the social and emotional needs of students with varying needs
Exemplary time management and organizational skills
