For a complete description of our benefits for this position, please visit our website.Job Description Summary:Research and laboratory assistant in ocular oncology within the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Washington.Purpose of the Research Project:Develop a Tumor Registry at the University of Washington, write important reports regarding the rare ocular tumors treated at the University of Washington, and assist in the development of an image repository for machine learning.Job Description:The individual will review medical records to develop a Tumor Registry of patients with ocular tumors seen at the University of Washington. Following completion of the Tumor Registry, the assistant will take part in creating retrospective case-series reports of ocular tumor patients at UW. The individual will also provide assistance in creating an image database for subsequent machine learning research.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Biostatistics or related field. A medical degree is preferred. Individuals with experience in ophthalmology are encouraged to apply.
