Must Haves:Bachelor's Degree in related field5+ years of bioprocessing experience – supporting manufacturing investigationsLab based or Mammalian cell culture backgroundChemistry or biology background is fineProficient in cell culture aseptic techniqueCell culture Bioreactor experienceEnjoys manipulating dataCedex cell counter, Nova Flex2 nutrient analyzer, Blood Gas AnalyzerP luses:Master's DegreeExperience in supporting scale-up and technology transfer to pilot or commercial scale facilitiesExperience in benchtop bioreactor operation and associated analytical tools – take samples to be analyzed, concentration of cellsFamiliar with control and data acquisition systemsExperience with processing and interpreting large data setsKnowledge of all aspects of cell culture/fermentationsDay to Day:We are looking for a Senior Scientist to join the Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) organization at a large pharmaceutical client based out of Andover, MA. This upstream cell culture and fermentation team supports late stage development and commercial biopharmaceuticals and vaccines, and responsible for process troubleshooting, process improvements, and second generation process development. This person will be expected to plan and execute well-designed lab experiments in cell culture and/or fermentation with pre-defined goals. This includes basic analytics, data acquisition and interpretation, user-level maintenance of the relevant equipment and documentation of work.ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute upstream process experiments at benchtop scalesOperate and maintain benchtop bioreactors and associated analytic toolsUnderstand and adjust control and data acquisition systemsDocument results and present them to internal teamsAssist in manufacturing investigations and process troubleshooting
