KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Creates, implements, promotes, and manages physical wellbeing programs including sports, nutrition, and risky behavior prevention.
Identifies resources and other organizations that provide resources for families related to physical wellbeing.
Coordinates fee-based programs
Direct supervision of sports referees
Trains staff on Healthy Lifestyles programs
Collects program data including member satisfaction, interests, and program outcomes
Conducts regular program quality observations across Club locations
Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
Maintains staff by recruiting and training employees
Maintains a safe, legal, and clean work environment
Develops personal and staff growth opportunities
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
Collaborates with Club staff and members to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instruction
Develops and maintains positive and professional contact with external community groups, school administration, members’ parents and others.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be required to attain CPR & First Aid training certification (paid for by the organization) to support staff safety training.
Collaborates on the creation of sport leagues and referee schedules
Responds to inquiries as main point of contact with Club Directors and others pertaining to sports
Maintains inventory of all sports equipment and purchases equipment when needed
Reserves and maintains sports fields for games
Collaborates the planning and operation of clinics, camps, tournaments, and other events
Ensures quality improvement by monitoring and evaluating program achievement against target goals, recommending modifications that respond to member needs and interests
Fulfills grant requirements
Participates in the creation, implementation, maintenance, and management of the budget
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Attends staff meetings and training sessions as prescribed
May be required to drive a shuttle bus or Club transportation
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, Associate’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or no degree and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience
21+ years, hold a valid Texas Driver’s License, personal insurance, and insurable through our organizational driver policy
Must pass background check and reference check
Must be familiar with multiple sports and rules
Must be able to work Tuesday – Saturday
Must be able to work and interact professionally
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to swiftly move throughout the playing area/field
Ability to work in unpredictable weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Adequate vision and hearing to officiate games and ensure the safety of Club youth
