The purpose of this position is to support research studies that aim to improve the health of young children in the Departments of Human Development and Family Sciences, and Nutritional Sciences. The position entails working closely with interdisciplinary nutrition scientists and human development scientists and their research team. This position is responsible for the performance of research and duties under supervising research professors, the research lab manager, and other staff. The work shift is typically a usual M-F schedule; however, study visits will also need to be held on weekends and evenings. Position will end 8/31/2025, with the potential of extension based on performance and funding.Responsibilities:Provide study intervention for clinical trials and other studies, collect data, conduct recruitment screening and enrollment, and complete administrative visit duties for study visits.Assist with clinical research measurements and child developmental assessments for study visits.Support data management and processing.Assist with other related tasks.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in nutrition, human development and family sciences, psychology, public health, sociology, education, communication studies, or related field.Interest in research focused on young children and families.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional organizational skills.Ability to assist an active and large research laboratory and meet deadlines.Must be skilled with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred Qualifications:Bilingual - Fluent in Spanish.Registered Dietitian, Dietetic Technician, or training to become a Dietitian.Experience providing nutrition interventions.Interest in health promotion and community health.Experience or coursework focused on infants, children, and/or family relationships.Experience conducting research in social or biological sciences, including familiarity with data storage, entry, and management, recruitment and enrollment, and interacting with participants.Salary Range:
