This position is located at 2375 Northside Drive in San Diego. If you are interested in making a positive difference for the environment by working as a project manager on projects that require creative thinking, working with motivated stakeholder groups, and developing technical documents, you may want to consider this position. While projects in this unit are complex, those who enjoy creating the template as they go, rather than following a template, will find satisfaction with the final result that will have a lasting impact, and sometimes statewide significance.Duties:Manage Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) or basin planning projects.Manage contracts for TMDL or basin planning projects.Develop Geographic Information System (GIS) maps as needed.Provide internal and external reports as needed.Participate and communicate at internal and external meetings.Provide presentations at Board Meetings as needed.Assist other staff on projects as needed.Perform site inspections or field visits as needed.The chosen applicant may be a project manager with oversight by the unit supervisor.Minimum Qualifications:Candidates must possess essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and the ability to perform the assigned duties of the class. If the position requires driving, you must possess a current and valid driver’s license.Salary information:

CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.Job Type:
