If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join the Peoria Proving Ground (PPG) team within the Earthmoving Division (EMD) as an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist.This is a critical role at our facility, supporting the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) strategy, while also completing specific EHS assignments in support of PPG facility performance and compliance. As the EHS Specialist for our PPG facility, you will have an exciting opportunity to make a difference for our people – employees, leaders, and the communities within which we operate.This role will directly support the site EHS professional and engage at all levels within the business, providing great visibility and making an impact on the health and safety of the people and business.Specifically, you can expect to:Identify common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establish guidelines for protection from those hazards.Ensure EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.Audit safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.Monitor periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alert line management to problems and make recommendations for improvement.Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects.Lead projects related to regulatory compliance or improving facility processes/procedures.Develop comprehensive programs to be utilized at the facility.The successful candidate must bring:Experience:

4-year degree or 5+ years of experience in EHS policy compliance.EHS Policy Compliance:

Knowledge of policies and the ability to implement them to ensure that activities at PPG are safe for the people and the environment as well as in compliance with legal requirements and standards.Strong knowledge of environmental regulations.Risk Management:

Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds.Sustainability:

Knowledge of sustainability strategy and ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization.Interpersonal Relationships and Collaborating:

Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.Problem Solving:

Knowledge and ability to apply approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems.Decision Making, Critical Thinking and Risk Management:
