is seeking a Part-Time Worship Leader for Sunday morning worship at a new church plant in Greenville, TX. The Well is a vibrant church, with a casual atmosphere, a contemporary style, and a family feel. Our mission is to help generations experience the goodness of following Jesus. The Well currently averages over 100 in attendance and has experienced some recent growth in our new location.
The ideal candidate
is passionate about praising the Lord and joyfully committed to following Him. Further, this individual is expected to: (A) be gifted in leading congregational worship, (B) possess leadership and organizational skills, and (C) be a team player. The ability to play an instrument is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Planning and leading our weekly Sunday morning (10:30 am) worship service (in concert with the Lead Pastor). This includes selecting songs, preparing slides in Pro-Presenter, and communicating with the worship and media teams through Planning Center in advance of Sunday mornings; and then leading the congregational worship each Sunday morning.
Modeling and leading heartfelt worship in an invitational style – that draws people in, encourages participation, and points people to Jesus.
Participating in set-up/tear-down and leading rehearsals at 8:00 am on Sunday mornings.
It is preferred (but not required) that the Worship Leader would also serve as a member of the Ministry Staff at The Well, demonstrating a commitment to this congregation and its mission; such that, if a candidate desires greater responsibility and leadership, we would gladly consider it and adjust compensation based on the level of commitment and ministry leadership. Nevertheless, we only require a Sunday morning commitment for this position.
Compensation
will be at minimum $250 per Sunday,
but able to increase based on experience, skill level, and responsibility.
